The Makings of an Interesting Year

Hello to anyone who may be reading this!

I've discovered that I really love reading people's blogs. There's just something really wonderful about keeping up with others through such a simple means. So here I am, laying in my bed listening to Michael Buble' and contemplating life. I have a pretty substantial test in the morning yet here I am.

This year I am preparing for student teaching by doing methods and practicum classes. I take a course for 10 days and then teach in a school in the area for another 10 days. It is pretty intense! I had to remind myself today that I have barely been in school a month! I have already gone through my math methods and practicum and am now in Language Arts, which is much more to my taste. As well as those classes, I am in Foundations of Reading and Children's Literature which take up quite enough time on their own.

Needless to say, my class schedule is a little more than I am used to. Coupled with that, I am still co leading Sudan Fellowship; playing tennis; accepting a leadership position for the Orange Movement; and am a Student Mentor! I'm definitely on my toes this semester. Thank goodness I have my daily devotions to keep my sane as well as many wonderful friends.

I've already had the opportunity to go away for the weekend for a break and it was much needed! On the drive, we found some zonkeys (zebra donkeys!) and had ourselves a little adventure!
Me, Laura, Rebekah, Zonkeys, and Breanna

I'm having a truly awesome year so far and it really only has been a month!

If any of you reading this would like to know what is really on my heart, I have been praying for the last month about a mission trip opportunity to Swaziland, Africa this summer. I would gladly accept any prayers about that and will keep you all updated!

In Christ,
Kelly
